Deer Park - Jeanne Hansen Park Planting …07/19/2026
Activities
Thank you for joining us for the Green Snoqualmie Summer of Service! On 7/19/26, from 9 AM-12 PM, we will be digging invasive blackberries that have grown up around our past plantings at Jeanne Hansen Park!
Jeanne Hansen Park is known for its shady walking trails, soccer fields, and tennis court. It's also the site of some Green Snoqualmie planting events back in 2022 that could use a little TLC! Armenian blackberry forms thickets that choke out and keep out native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and graminoids. We will have two invasive species removal events here this summer, with one planting/mulching event when it's rainy in the fall.
This is a great way to give back to your local forests and get to know like-minded community members!
All ages OK

What to Bring
Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves that can get dirty and will protect you from blackberry thorns. Avoid sandals!

A water bottle and snacks
Print and bring a signed Youth Waiver if you are under 18 and without a guardian.
A great attitude :)
Your favorite pair of gloves, if you wish. Tools and gloves are provided!
Where to Meet
