Thank you for joining us for the Green Snoqualmie Summer of Service! On 7/18/26, from 9 AM-12 PM, we will be weeding around the trees we planted at the Climate Change Adaptation Demonstration Forest (CCADF) in 2024.

Each of the tree species at the CCADF, from shore pine to coast redwood, is specially chosen for its adaptations to warming climate conditions. This fall, we will scatter native grass and wildflower seeds and plant shrubs and groundcovers in the areas we've weeded! The spotted towhees, black-tailed bumblebees, and tiger swallowtails will be grateful. Expect to pull Armenian blackberry, English ivy, creeping buttercup, and bird's-foot trefoil. We will also be picking up trash and old tree cages.

This is a great opportunity to invest in the future of Snoqualmie's urban forests and meet like-minded community members!

Tools and training are provided, and all ages and abilities are welcome.

What to Bring

Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves that can get dirty and will protect you from blackberry thorns. Avoid sandals!

Dress for the weather: sunscreen/sunglasses if it’s sunny, or rain gear if rain is in the forecast.

A water bottle and snacks

Print and bring a signed Youth Waiver if you are under 18 and without a guardian.

A great attitude :)

Your favorite pair of gloves, if you wish. Tools and gloves are provided!

Where to Meet

Plan on arriving at 8:45 AM so you have enough time to park and get any items you need

We will gather at the restoration site just west of the parking area, can't miss it!
