SUMMARY: Event Deus ex Machina: Saving the Day at the Centennial Rain Garden!
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Thank you for joining us for the Green Snoqualmie Summer of Service! Mark your calendar for Sunday, July 19th from 9 AM-12 PM, because on that day, we will be working to continue the restoration of the Centennial Rain Garden at Centennial Fields Park!

The Centennial Fields Park rain garden is the last line of defense to stop toxic runoff from the parking lot and fertilizers from the baseball fields from getting into the Kimball Creek Slough, the swamp that meanders through the Meadowbrook Elk Fields. The trees, shrubs, sedges, and rushes planted here have the power to filter that water and break down pollutants before they make it into the swamp, but not if invasive blackberry crowds them out! These plants can't fight back, but us humans with our shovels and loppers, we have the ability to swoop in and save the day! Additionally, we will dig some holly and ivy around the rain garden.

Tools and training are provided, and all ages and abilities are welcome. This is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest and your community. Help us build a healthy habitat and a healthy community!

Feel free to show up as early as 8 AM and stay as late as 1 PM, but the event officially starts at 9!
